Chamber Music

Ahh, the intimacy of chamber music! The sheer depth! Seriously, any musician that has studies music history knows of the importance and ingenuity that much of the past and present chamber music repertoire has to offer.

The repertoire for sale on this page includes my duo sonatas, trios, quartets and a number of other combinations.

My style is Neo-Romantic my chamber music compositions tend to be large-scale works. As with many new compositions, an ideal programming placement would be after an intermission or as an opening number.

Each work listed will eventually link to a page where you can download the composition, along with an mp3 recording. Here are the current listings:

Chamber Music Works

1. Fantasy (for Piano, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon and Horn)

2. Fandanevil (for Woodwing Quintet)

3. Romance (for Brass Quintet)

4. Prelude and Fugue (for Wind Sextet)

5. String Quartet no. 1

6. Piano Trio no. 1

Crazy Chamber Facts

The word chamber is used as in many instances including Chamber Symphony, Chamber Opera and Chamber Orchestra. The latter two terms characterize a smaller number of singers and/or orchestral players who perform in ensembles. Chamber Symphony is actually a title used by composer Arnold Schoenberg for two of his works.

Armed with this heavy duty knowledge, you may now proceed to your cocktail party and unleash this barrage of information to interested party-goers. Just make sure they’ve had a few drinks before you give them these knee-weakening chamber facts.
