Conductor Scores
Are
you a conductor? Do you need scores? I am a composer. I have scores.
I am now attempting more than four words in a row per sentence.
There! Now let’s talk repetoire.
This
page lists some of the major orchestral
pieces that I have written and had performed over the years.
The style is Neo-Romantic and the works vary in length and complexity.
Three
favorite types of compositions include:
- Concert Band
- String Orchestra
- Symphony
Orchestra
- Concerti
The Romances are generally string orchestra
works and have received a lot of performances across Canada. They
are light listening and easily accessible to a wide range of audiences.
The
Overtures switch moods rapidly and provide a number of
different emotional settings, all within an eight to ten minute
composition.
My
Concerti have both been performed and received well. The
piano concerto is a bit more difficult for the soloist and shows
a decisively Beethoven
influence. The clarinet concerto has an almost Klezmer feel to it
in the last movement. Both compositions are fairly short for their
genre; approximately twenty minutes of music for each.
Each
work listed will eventually link to a page where you can download
the composition, along with an mp3 recording. Here are the current
